Speaker 2:
This is something that if you can embrace and allow the Lord to go to a deep place like Robin’s saying in your thoughts, and maybe traumas that have happened to you when you were younger, this will change your life in all areas. And so don’t allow the enemy to make you feel shameful for needing healing because that’s ultimately, every one of us has something that we want God to change in us, right? So I just want to extend that to you, to encourage you to really like, let your guard down and allow the Holy Spirit to work in these places, because you’re going to find, it’s not going to just change your eating habits, but it’s going to change a whole lot of other things that you’re going to be happy about.
Speaker 1:
Amen. Teia, we have about 15 minutes left. I’d love for you to demonstrate and maybe corporately walk us through, it’s inviting the Lord into these traumas, right? And so how do we even posture ourselves. And I want to share your contact with everybody, because I know that you’re offering some zoom counseling and inner healing and deliverance is my understanding. So I definitely want to leave you guys with information to where you can seek out more of Teia, but these last 15 minutes, I’d love for you to just kind of usher us into that place of hearing from the Lord, seeing some of those memories, going back to those traumas and kind of usher us into that place of inner healing. Does that sound good? Did you have anything else that you wanted to share about this topic? I know I had the question of what kind of heart and mindsets do you see in this place, and the thing that was coming to me the most is like shame and I think you, you touched on that well.
Speaker 2:
Yeah, I hope so. I get so excited and want to share and pour into people. There’s so much that we could say about this and I’m just, I’m kind of excited cause I’m learning myself. So I’m on a journey with you guys. Y’all don’t know, but I exercised with you all this morning. So I used my bands and you guys were very encouraging and y’all looked great. I would love to take you guys through inner healing. If you want one-on-one it is going to be easier doing one-on-one with me or my other two counselors, because we’re going to be able to really specifically allow the Holy Spirit to concentrate on you and I can help you through it. Has anyone here done inner healing before? I guess that would be a good question. I just wanted to know that way if it was different, I could kind of guide you. There are different types of inner healing. There’s none that’s wrong. It’s just, everybody has a different style. It all comes down to just asking the Lord to come and heal that place. Does that make sense?
Give Holy Spirit Permission To Heal:
Okay. Let’s get started since we’re going to run out of time. If you guys just want to close your eyes for a minute and I just want you to give the Holy Spirit permission to heal you, to heal your soul. So “Holy spirit, I give you permission to heal my soul.”
And then I just want you to say “Holy Spirit, I gave you permission to take me to any memory that you would like to heal today.” So I don’t want you to overthink this and don’t be afraid that you’re going to make anything up because if that’s your heart, you certainly aren’t going to do that. So I want you to just allow the Holy Spirit to show you or remind you of a memory where you were hurt.
Start With Forgiveness:
And so if you’re in that place and you have a memory, I want you to say, “Holy Spirit, who would you like me to forgive?”
If you haven’t been able to get to a memory, just ask the Holy Spirit if there’s someone that he would like you to forgive. When you’ve done your forgiveness. So you want to look at the person in the memory and say, “I choose to forgive you for making me feel [and whatever that person made you feel, you can tell them, you made me feel angry, sad, hurt, rejected, and that’s not okay], and I choose to release you to the Lord.”
Ask Jesus For The Truth:
And wherever you’re at in that memory I want you to stay there and say, “Jesus, come into this place, show me truth and heal my heart.” And I want you to look around that place that you’re at and see if you can see or sense his presence or him anywhere in that memory. And I want you to go to him and say, “what lie did I believe in this place, in this pain? What’s the truth Lord? Remove off me anything that attached through that lie and heal my heart.” And I want you to watch and see what he does. Let him do whatever he wants to do.
Let Him Heal You:
Let him heal and remove anything that he would like to heal and remove. He’s your healer. When you feel peace, you can open your eyes. It’s kind of hard to do it unless you’re a pro at doing this as a group, especially if you’re not in a quiet place, but you can do this home. So I just did this the other day, where it is harder to do on your own, but let me just run you through that a little bit and you can try it when you guys have the time. If you want to do more or do it when you don’t have kids, but you just close your eyes and ask the Holy Spirit to take you wherever he wants to take you to heal you. Sometimes you won’t get a memory, which to me, a lot of times it’s because we need to do some forgiveness.
So just say, “Holy Spirit, is there anyone I need to forgive.”
That can include yourself, right? I need to forgive myself for not being perfect, not being a perfect mom or a perfect wife or perfect, whatever. I forgive myself for overeating or you know, hurting myself or not liking myself. And then sometimes we need to forgive God, even though he’s perfect. He hasn’t done anything wrong. We need to release offenses that we’ve built up. So Lord, I didn’t feel like you were there. I felt like you had abandoned me. I felt like this. I felt like that, but I release you Lord from me feeling this way. And I don’t want to feel this way anymore. I want to trust you. So sometimes we need to do that with the Lord. Other times, there’s just people in our lives that we need to picture their face. Tell them how they made you feel. Don’t spiritualize it; be honest. If you got to say, I don’t like you, you know, I wish you’d fall off the face of the earth cause I’m angry at you. Then that’s what you say. You want to get it out of your gut. You want to get the emotion that you stuffed out. And then after you get all of that out, I choose to forgive you. And I release you to the Lord. And if it’s a really hard one, say that you were abused and you’re having to forgive the person who abused you. When you do forgiveness, say I release what you’ve done. And I released what you’ve done to me. And I release you to the Lord for him to deal with you because he is the judge, we are not. Now we are releasing that so that we can move forward and be healed and live an abundant life.
You can start with forgiveness if you can’t seem to go to memories. And a lot of times that will unlock whatever block is there to allow you to go into a memory. And once you get into that memory, you’ll want to forgive the person who hurt you. And then you want to ask the Lord to come into that memory. And when you sense him there, or see him there, go to him and ask him what lie you believed. Cause if you remember before I said that a trauma and a lie. When we teach deliverance, we teach that when you have a trauma, you have a lie. A stronghold actually starts with a lie. So you have this trauma and then the enemy speaks a lie to you and then builds on that lie until you’ve entertained it and believed it enough that you’re living it out, which is what you call a stronghold.
When you live out a lie and a trauma in your life, the effects of the trauma in your life. You’ll want to ask the Lord, what lie am I believing here? And ask when he’s done telling you to ask him the truth. Now don’t second guess yourselves ladies, because I can tell you that you hear God. That you have the Holy Spirit and that you guys have pure hearts and you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re not going to make anything up. And you know, the Holy Spirit has your back. So don’t worry about it getting weird or you’re in fantasy land. As long as you’re sticking to the memory and allowing him to speak to you, just trust yourself. Trust that you hear the Lord. What you’re going to find is the Lord’s going to come in and begin to heal. When you give him permission after he tells you the truth, and you’re going to experience him healing you in that place.
I had an 85 year old woman that came in and had never told anyone in 85 years that she was abused at two years old by her mom’s boyfriend. I was the first person for her to ever tell. And when we went into the memory, I asked the Holy Spirit to take her to a memory he wanted to heal and sure enough, we went straight to the basement where she was abused and she was terrified. I had to calm her down. It’s okay. She’s sitting on the stairs in her mind. She’s replaying the memory, sitting on the stairs as a year old in this basement. And I said, if God brought you to this memory then that means he wants to heal it. And he knows you can handle it. And he’s with you. And so we got her into the memory and she went through the forgiveness and what lie did I believe? And then she allowed Jesus to come into the memory and heal her. She was weeping and she was crying and you could feel the Holy Spirit moving, and anointing was there. And when she was done, she opens her eyes and wipes her face. And I said, I want you to close your eyes and go back to that memory.
She looks at me like, I should probably want to slap me, you know. She looks at me and she’s like, really? I said, yeah, just trust me. So she closes her eyes and goes back to memory and she starts busting out laughing. And I said, what, what do you see? And she goes, I don’t see anything. She goes, but that feeling I had is gone. So that torment that she had every time she thought about what happened to her that day, it completely left. Now, what is that? That’s healing of the soul – of the emotion. It’s the Holy Spirit healing the trauma that was embedded in her body and in her soul. And she had complete peace and joy in a memory that has terrified her for 85 years. Wow. So that’s the power of God. Did God want her to live the rest of her life – really God didn’t want her to live with that for what, 83 years. But that’s what happened. That’s really what you should get from inner healing. Does that make sense?
Speaker 1:
Yeah, definitely. And so often I think we, again, we settle for less than what God made a way for, right? Like I love what you said. If he brought you to that memory, right, it’s his goodness that leads us to repentance and repentance is a changing of the way that we think, right? It’s like, Hey, I partnered with a lie – not that it’s our fault, right? But there’s a lie attached to this trauma. And I have to think differently about that circumstance. Otherwise we do stay in bondage to these things and we cannot run unhindered towards all God has created us to be or called us to do. And so it’s essential for us to get healed and delivered from these things to just walk in the fullness of our identity. So powerful Teia. I could just seriously. I’m like, I’m telling her while I’m out in Colorado, how do I get trained by you? Like you need to start a school. I’m your first, you know, we are.
Speaker 2:
And sometimes if we’re not big feelers, we won’t feel anything administrating. That doesn’t mean you’re not getting anything. What you want to kind of look for is if you’re someone who stuffs emotion, so if your survival mechanism is to kind of be numb and not, and just pull up your bootstraps and, you know, deal with life in the midst of everything and you disassociate emotion and kind of become numb so that you can deal with day-to-day life, which a lot of us do. You just want to make sure that you’re not doing that in the memory, and I might have to help you with it. Sometimes it’s easier to have help where we can start getting healing to connect with your emotions. So if there’s trauma there and if that’s a mechanism that you’ve learned to use to survive, then I would help you get the healing you need so that you can connect with your emotion.
Sometimes people aren’t super emotional. I mean, I’ve had people, I mean, they left my office and I thought, man, they didn’t shed a tear. They didn’t, you know, I don’t, I hope they got healing. And then before I know it that I’ve got an email saying their whole life has changed. I’ll be honest. I do inner healing on myself when I know I need it. And it’s sometimes easy. And sometimes it’s not, I have to have a good friend help me. And so, you know, if you can’t do it alone yeah. Reach out. Because let me tell you, it’s worth doing that. A lot of times the Lord will do that while you’re driving or while you’re cleaning at home or doing things because he is shifting you. In order to be shifted, we’ve got to leave stuff behind so that he can fill us with new stuff to move forward in.
Speaker 1:
You know, it’s funny, the first time I walked up to Teia, I was like, I don’t know what I need. I just know that there’s something there blocking me from stepping into, like, I’m not super emotional. I’m not depressed. I don’t have anxiety. I’m not overwhelmed. Like I couldn’t, there wasn’t any like major manifestation of like a stronghold, but I knew that there was like a disassociation with the reality of my feelings. There was like so much years of stuffing that I couldn’t even make the connections on my own anymore. I needed somebody to like usher me into that place where the Holy Spirit like brought to light these things that I was completely blind. Completely blind of, right? And I pray, I read the word, like I’m intimate in my relationship with the Lord, but there was something that I needed another member of the body of Christ to usher me there in that time.
Speaker 2:
Yeah. I have oftentimes, you know, God’s so good, but I’ve had seasons to where I’ve literally dreamed. And in this dream, the Lord is revealing to me an issue I have. You know, we get so caught up in life and we don’t sometimes see the stuff we’re doing. The Lord was showing me a problem that I had with someone in my family. And I didn’t realize that I felt that way. And in the dream he showed me in this dream that I felt this way. And in this dream, he began to take me through inner healing. Wow. I woke up and I was like, wow. You know, and I guess maybe I’ve been so busy, probably run two ministries that he would probably try to get me in my car and I didn’t listen. Or I was just, you know, didn’t hear him. So when I’m sleeping and I have no choice, he did it. But you can begin to even come into your resting time and allow him to heal you in those places as well.
Or to, if you’re thinking to yourself, man, I don’t know. Like, you know, Robyn said, I have people come in all the time and they’re like, ah, this is what I need healed for. And then three months later, they’re still coming in and they’re like, I don’t think I need anything else. And then we have the most powerful session that day than we had for the three months. And it was a lot of times we don’t think we need something cause we don’t catch everything. We don’t see everything about ourselves or deep things that are way, way down, deep inside of us. We see the fruit of it a lot of times – the rejection, the anger, the fear, the self hate, those kinds of things.
But a lot of times we won’t see everything and we just have to kind of jump in whether we see somebody that helps us take us through it. Or we allow the Lord to begin to show us what those things are and then get help if we need it. But I would definitely ask the Lord or the Holy Spirit to start showing you, are there things that you would like to touch on or that you would like to heal? Now don’t get mad because this is what we do. We go Lord, I just want more of you. I want, I want to heal and I want to be whole, I want to carry your power. I want to carry your glory. And then he begins to heal and mend our brokenness, but it feels really yucky. And we’re like, Lord, why are you making me go through this?
We’re getting really irritated. Cause we don’t want to walk through some of this stuff. And the Lord’s like, Hey, remember you asked me. You asked me to heal your heart. You asked me to. I tell people deliverance is basically removing things so that we can carry the glory of the Lord in us. We can’t raise the dead and carry the power of the Holy Spirit in us and bring healing to people when we have a bunch of stuff taking up room. So the less I have in me and the more healing I have in my soul, the more glory I can carry. The more powerful God’s Holy Spirit is in me. That’s really what the definition of deliverance should be. So good. I am so passionate because I was a mess y’all. We all, you know, and I’m sure everybody has their story and nones, you know, we, all, all of our stories are powerful, but I am just so thankful for my healing. Who has babies at 14 years old and doesn’t go to college, but ends up being able to have their own business and you know, be successful?
You know that’s God. That’s because God loves me. And he loves you and wants you to be successful and the desires of your heart to produce fruit. He wants to see you and your family thriving. I still got some work to be done, especially with Robyn here. Some food things come up where I’m like, Oh, I gotta do some work. But I’m ok with that, because I know it makes me a stronger person. I know it makes me more whole, and I know that I’m more effective to my husband, my family, my ministry, when I’m healed and you know, running on the path of continual healing because the less of me and more of him, I can really tackle what the Lord sets in front of me without having distractions. So I’m very passionate about what I do and I love women and I love to see the Lord move powerfully in their lives so that they can do what they’ve been called to do. And that is truly a passion of mine.
So I hope that you guys feel comfortable to reach out. I do have other counselors cause I book out a couple of months ahead. If you want to wait a little bit schedule with me or if you don’t want to, schedule with my other two ladies, which they’re anointed and awesome. Man, I just encourage you to just run with it and allow the Lord, even if you’ve got it before, sometimes different seasons in our life God peels back different layers. And I do ministry on myself. I go get ministry once a year if not more, if I need it, you know, based on things happening during my life. But this is definitely a concept that I teach on and live out myself because it works.
Speaker 1:
Amen. Amen. So good.
Speaker 2:
Well, I don’t want to get off subject, but just, you know, dealing with inner healing, allowing the Holy Spirit to come in and take you different places and allowing him not to heal you physically. But you know, we’ve seen people get healed of many diseases by allowing the Holy Spirit to come in. And the best advice that I could give with that is not to box the Lord up in any way. And the biggest thing about healing ministry, if you’re going to have somebody take you through inner healing, you want to make sure that they’re following the Holy Spirit and they don’t have a step-by-step like format that they do that kind of, you know, boxes things in because everybody is different. Everybody is wired differently and responds differently. And in different seasons you’re going to get different healing. So you got to follow the Holy Spirit and allow him to do whatever he wants to do with each person.
Speaker 1:
So good guys. I love that. And I love that we have the ability to boldly approach his throne of grace in our times of need. Right? And he’s so like jealously pursuing us. He wants to see us set free. We’re not, we don’t have to, like, he’s not playing hide and seek with us, right? Like we can, you know, when we seek him, we can find him and even posturing our hearts. And then when we run into those situations of like, man, I don’t even know where to start. I don’t know the roots, you know, that’s why he created this many membered body so that we can see for each other and help each other. So. So good. And just a last thing to tag onto what Teia said about when we’re seeking this spiritual healing and how it manifests physically. Earlier in the year, I had a naturopathic doctor on here talking about gut health and I was blown away at how much trauma stays connected to our physical bodies in different organs and how we see that trauma affect different organs. And so I love how God created us spirit, soul, and body, and they’re all interconnected. We can’t separate them. So things that are spiritual manifest physically and things that are physical manifest spiritually. As we’re pursuing healing, right, He’s healing us in all three realms. Thank you Teia so much for taking some time to be with us and joining us on the journey. So thank you. It was an honor.
